「猫」は寺と坂の多い尾道を象徴する道具だてです。石段と石垣の構図のとり方が巧く遠近法をとらえた奥行きの深い作品です。遠くに寄り添い降りてくる男女、物語が生まれてくる光景です。

“The cat” is a scene that symbolizes the many temples and slopes of Onomichi. It is a work with great depth that utilizes a perspective approach to skillfully capture the stone steps and stone walls in its composition. It suggests the beginning of a story for the couple walking down the steps together in the distance.
